Kuala Lumpur, 30 March 2020 - QSR Brands (M) Holdings Berhad, the franchise owner and operator of KFC and Pizza Hut Malaysia, under the aegis of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is extending its support to Malaysia’s frontliners and the underserved communities during this unprecedented Covid-19 situation.

With the recent extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO) to 14 April 2020, both brands are pledging to serve meals to the community and lighten the hardship of the nation throughout this period.

Since the beginning of the MCO, QSR Brands has taken proactive steps to give back to
communities in need and those who have been soldiering on through these difficult times.

KFC and Pizza Hut Malaysia have since delivered more than 10,780 meals to health workers,
firemen, policemen, media, and public service workers at our frontline as well as university
students and the underserved communities at more than 100 locations across 13 states in
Malaysia. It is estimated that at least 20,000 meals will reach our national heroes, as well as
the underserved individuals throughout the MCO period.

In mobilising this, KFC and Pizza Hut have not only engaged their own riders to deliver food
to our deserving frontliners, but also partnered with Kechara Soup Kitchen to distribute food
to the underprivileged and homeless communities in Kuala Lumpur. In addition, through QSR
Brands’ long-standing strategic partnerships with Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah
Persekutuan, Majlis Agama Islam Melaka, Majlis Agama Islam Kedah, Zakat Pulau Pinang,
Majlis Agama Islam Pulau Pinang, Pusat Zakat Sabah, Jabatan Agama Islam Labuan, and
Lembaga Zakat Selangor, these organizations have joined hands to distribute meals to
frontliners and the underprivileged as a responsibility they hold strongly to Malaysians who
are in need.

Nehchal Khanna, Managing Director, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd stated, “The Covid-19
situation is a challenging time for us all. Especially for the brave frontliners who are putting
their lives at risk and selflessly working around the clock in the fight against Covid-19.

To show our gratitude and to do our bit in supporting their efforts, we would like to provide them
food daily.

We are committed to supporting Malaysians through this tough period and will do
all we can to continue our efforts to ensure that the health and safety of our fellow Malaysians
is not compromised and standards of hygiene are adhered to at all our outlets.”
“As leaders in the food and restaurant industry, we hope that through these efforts,
Malaysians will be inspired to stand united in these challenging times.

Let’s do our part in fighting this disease. Let’s stay at home and practice good hygiene. Whenever you crave KFC and Pizza Hut, let us come and deliver the food to you instead through contactless
delivery.” Nehchal added.

QSR Brands urges Malaysians to do their part and in joining the cause simply by practicing
good hygiene and staying at home. KFC and Pizza Hut Malaysia have made their meals
accessible for everyone through various delivery methods to ensure they too, are well-fed. In
navigating through these unprecedented times, KFC and Pizza Hut Malaysia launched
‘Contactless Delivery’ that ensures a contact-free manner between the food delivery rider and
recipient, in line with the government’s health, social, and safety guidelines.
